Refresh your toolbox and take better social media photos
My favorite physical tools to make your photos better:
Lumee Case: This iPhone case with built-in lighting was made famous by the Kardashians. And while it can certainly up your selfie game, it can also do wonders for all low-light and interior photos. I recently got one, and am a hardcore Lumee advocate.
Foldio pop-up lightbox: If you want a clean white background, a pop-up light box is a really cool tool. There are many great options on Amazon, starting around $40, but I like the Foldio best ($70).
My favorite virtual tools to make your photos better:
VSCO app: Hands-down the BEST filters and effects for clean and stylish images from your phone. A little bit of a learning curve, but fairly easy to use, VCSO integrates nicely with all social media apps and I don’t think I’ve published a single image before passing it through the app since I first downloaded it a couple of years ago. I’m serious.
Canva: I love this tool for creating stylish, on-brand graphics on the go. And I love that my clients can use it easily with the tools we create without having to know Photoshop.
Or, hey—why not let someone else just have already taken the photos for you?
