Good brand design can be the difference between success and failure in retail; I hired Cody to design From Molly With Love’s brand identity, website, and packaging because I needed the outside of my products to be just as awesome as they are on the inside. And it was the best financial decision I’ve ever made! Since implementing Cody’s designs, my sales have exploded and we have received interest from investors; I know we wouldn’t be doing this well if weren’t for Cody’s work. Working with Cody and her team was awesome. In addition to making everything beautiful, Cody was always coming to me with new suggestions for how we can make things even better. When I first spoke with Molly Beane about designing a brand identity and launching a website for her rapidly-growing all-natural skincare and lifestyle brand From Molly With Love, I knew immediately that this woman and her company were going places.
From Molly With Love is committed to changing the world one woman at a time via a message of radical self-care, mindfulness, accessible luxury, and a sincere desire to make a positive impact on the lives of anyone who uses the products. It’s not enough to be transparently natural, the products are each formulated to work.
Molly, the woman behind the love, is someone so genuine, honest, kind, blunt, and funny, that it’s impossible not to want to work with her. And for someone who knows what she wants and goes after it with a laser-like precision, she was a delightful collaborator throughout the process, painting a clear picture of what her brand is, what she wants it to be, who it’s for, and why it’s unique… then trusting me to bring that to life visually.
For the logo, we went simple, clean, and graphic. The “From Molly” is prominent to emphasize the personal attention and hands-on care that goes into everything her name goes on. The element symbols (fire, earth, air, and water) conjure the clean and natural mission behind every product’s formulation.
Before we even started working together, I was so excited to try the products that I placed an order from Molly’s Etsy shop the day we spoke. When I got the parcel, I was impressed by the care and attention to detail that was put into the packaging, which included a tarot card and a hand-written thank you note. Not wanting to lose that sense of care and attention, but also not wanting to lose a marketing opportunity, I designed these four element cards. They double as business cards with Molly and her team’s information on the back (cutting down on paper use, printing costs, AND creating a topic of conversation), and we also created a special opportunity for her loyal customers: collect all four, share them on Instagram, and get a special care package (creating marketing opportunity, content creation, and loyalty reward all in one!).
For the packaging, I wanted something that anyone, regardless of personal style, would want on their shelf, so we kept it simple and chic.
For each individual From Molly With Love product I designed the packaging for, Molly chose the element to correspond.
For the chakra aromatherapy sprays, I created custom chakra symbols that matched out marks.
For the From Molly With Love e-commerce website, I kept things clean, simple, clear, and modern. The user experience is carefully considered and the plethora of information for each product is organized in a way that educates without overwhelming.
I loved working on this project and I’m so excited to see what’s yet to come from Molly—that woman is going to take over the world someday (soon, I hope!). But in all honesty, as beautiful as we made everything look, the products really do speak for themselves—they’re amazing.
